January 24, 2021Matt 6 Comments

Another update

August 24, 2020Matt Leave a comment

So just another quick update – I haven’t died and things are still chugging along. It’s looking more and more like I will end up heading back to Mexico next year, pick up the boat and sail her back to… Continue reading →

Heading south from Loreto and crossing the Gulf of California (again)

March 7, 2020Matt Leave a comment

After dropping off Liz at Loreto (the furthest North I got), I returned back to Coronado Island and met my BBF (best boat friends forever) Jo and Barry on Boomarang and their friends on Hajime. However, not much socialising was… Continue reading →

San Evaristo and Loreto national park

February 3, 2020Matt Leave a comment

After leaving Isla Espirito we headed North, to a small fishing village called San Evaristo. This is on a small, picturesque bay with a small shop and restaurant. We anchored to the North of the village, behind a big ol’… Continue reading →

Last 100 miles were upwind against heavy current but it was ok, even the fearsome Punta Mala was tame. By far the scariest bit was threading my way through the shipping anchorage outside the canal, the traffic was very active and a couple of times I had to get out the way sharpish

Next, the canal!

The hardest parts are yet to come but after two and a half years, I'm homeward bound.
