One thing that needed to be done was install a fuse within 7 inches of the battery. I decided to use a Marine Rated Battery Fuse (MRBF) with a 200amp fuse – it was a bit higher than the 100amp breaker on the panel, but I wanted to make sure I could start the engine from the house bank in an emergancy. It’s also still under the melting point of the 1AWG gauge wire.

The most annoying part is I had to cut off the terminal connector and recrimp on a smaller one, but it wasn’t that bad.
