Reminder AGAIN that I need to check my rig more often - this was the pin that held the boom to the gooseneck! It had half come out, only connecting one side. Luckily the gooseneck isn't damaged, but it bent the crap out of this 3/8" stainless pin 😬

Well loooook who it is! Back at the boat and dealing with a spider infestation, a lotta mold and a lotta rain, as well as possible bed bugs and cockroaches. I'm fighting back with a steam cleaner I bought and hopefully making progress!

Condition aside, it's so fab to see sooner again

Having never lived with a dog before in my life, this summer was the summer of dogs

1) Morty, the sweetest boy who I lived with for two months at the start of the summer
2) Fauna, the best dock dog ever up in Hakai
3) Brisa and Baleia, two hilarious chunks who I dogsat for a month (they only spoke Portuguese so communication was an issue)

A year and 10 days ago I set out sailing South again with a vague plan. It's changed several times over, but what didn't change was the amazing different animals I spotted on the way! I am heading back next month to continue and I couldn't be more excited!

1) Orange-fronted Parakeet
2) Blue Footed Booby
3) Long Beaked Common Dolphin
4) Risso's Dolphin
5) Silver-haired Bat
6) California Sealion
7) Bottlenose (I think) Dolphin
8) Humpback Whale
9) Tufted Puffin
10) Blue Whale(!)
